Highlight Film vs. Long-Form Wedding Video
Two honest ways to keep a wedding day on film: a short cinematic highlight, or a long chronological record of the day as it happened. Here is how each one works, how we deliver them, and how couples decide.
The highlight film
A highlight film is a short cinematic film of your wedding day, edited to music and built from the best moments across the whole day — preparations, ceremony, portraits, speeches, and dancing all live inside it. It tells the story of the day the way it felt, in a few minutes you can watch anywhere and share with anyone. It is the film couples rewatch most, and it is the centerpiece of every film collection we offer. You can watch complete highlight films on our video portfolio.
The long-form, documentary video
A long-form wedding video works the opposite way: chronological, documentary, minimal reshaping. The ceremony plays in full. The speeches are heard as they were given, with the day's original audio. Nothing is compressed into a montage — the day unfolds in order, at its real length. Couples who choose this style usually say the same thing: they want to hear the vows again word for word, and to see the moments in between the moments, of them and of their guests.
How we deliver each one
Our approach blends both styles, so most couples end up with a version of each. Highlight Film — $3,500: full-day coverage and your edited cinematic highlight film. Highlight + Raw — $4,000: the highlight film plus the raw footage from the day — every clip, unedited, yours to keep. Gold Video — $5,000: the highlight film plus a 30–60 minute film, edited ceremony and speeches, the raw footage, and a vertical reel. Highlight films are delivered within three to four months of the wedding.
Many couples pair the two approaches: the edited long-form pieces for the ceremony and speeches — available as full documentary edits added to any collection — and the complete raw footage file alongside, so nothing from the day is ever out of reach. Full details for every collection are in our pricing guide.
Which one should you choose?
Choose the highlight film if you want the film you will share, post, and watch on anniversaries — the day at its most emotional, in minutes. Choose long-form coverage if hearing the full ceremony and speeches again matters most, or if you simply want the day preserved as it actually unfolded. Choose both — the route most of our couples take — and the question answers itself: a highlight to live with, and the complete record to keep.

Quick answers
What is a highlight film?
A short cinematic film of your wedding day, edited to music and built from the best moments across the whole day — preparations, ceremony, portraits, speeches, and dancing all live inside the film. It is the centerpiece of every film collection, starting at $3,500.
What is a long-form wedding video?
A longer, chronological film that records the day's events in full and in order — the complete ceremony, speeches as they were given, the dances — with original audio. Our Gold Video collection includes a 30–60 minute film alongside the highlight film, plus edited ceremony and speeches and the raw footage.
Can we get everything filmed on the day?
Yes. The Highlight + Raw collection ($4,000) includes the raw footage from the day, unedited and yours to keep, and raw footage can also be added to the Highlight Film collection after the wedding.
When will we receive our wedding film?
Highlight films are delivered within three to four months of the wedding.
