How Much Does a Wedding Videographer Cost on Long Island?
Real numbers, no runaround: what wedding film and photography collections cost on Long Island, what drives the price up or down, and the questions to ask before you book anyone.
The short answer
At North Fork Wedding Films, wedding film collections run from $3,500 to $5,000, and wedding photography collections run from $5,000 to $7,500. Across Long Island generally, professional wedding photography commonly ranges from about $3,000 to $7,000 or more depending on coverage and experience, and videography lands in a similar band. Here is exactly how our numbers break down.
Wedding film collections
Highlight Film — $3,500. Full-day coverage, from preparations through the reception, and your edited highlight film — a short cinematic film of the day, edited to music, with preparations, ceremony, portraits, speeches and dancing all living inside it.
Highlight Film + Raw Footage — $4,000. Everything in the Highlight Film collection, plus the raw footage from the day, unedited and yours to keep.
Gold Video — $5,000. Our top film collection. Couples can also add full documentary edits of the ceremony and speeches to any collection. Full details are in our pricing guide.
Wedding photography collections
Solo — $5,000. One photographer for the full wedding day. Signature Solo — $5,950. Our signature one-photographer collection. Two Photographers — $7,500. Two photographers, so preparations, ceremony and reception are covered from two angles at once. A full day typically produces hundreds of professionally edited photographs, delivered in a private online gallery.
What drives the price
Coverage. How much of the day is covered — full-day coverage costs more than a few hours, because it is more shooting and far more footage to edit.
A second shooter. A second photographer or camera means two angles on the moments that only happen once — the walk down the aisle, the vows, the reactions. It is the single biggest step up in most price lists.
Film, photography, or both. Booking photo and film together with one team is usually simpler — and often better value — than hiring two separate companies, because one team works one timeline and one plan.
Raw footage. Unedited footage from the day is an add-on or a collection step at many studios, including ours.
Add-ons. Extras like full ceremony and speeches edits, or Super 8 film woven into your highlight film, add to the total.
What to ask before you book
Can we see complete wedding films? Highlights and trailers are easy to love; full films show consistency. You can watch 30 complete wedding films on our video portfolio before you ever talk to us.
When will we receive everything? Get the delivery timeline in writing. Our highlight films are delivered within three to four months of the wedding.
What exactly is included? Coverage hours, the edited film, any full ceremony or speeches edits, raw footage — and what each extra costs. If a quote will not itemize, keep asking.
