How Much Does a Wedding Photographer Cost on Long Island?
The companion to our videographer cost guide: what wedding photography actually costs on Long Island, what moves the number, and exactly what our photography collections include.
The short answer
Long Island wedding photography commonly ranges from about $3,000 to $7,000 or more depending on coverage and experience. At North Fork Wedding Films & Photography, collections run from $5,000 to $7,500 — one photographer or two, the full day, every image professionally edited and delivered in a private online gallery. Here is the breakdown.
Wedding photography collections
Solo — $5,000. One photographer — Scott as lead photographer — for up to 8 hours, with a high-resolution gallery of your edited photographs.
Signature Solo — $5,950. Our full-day one-photographer collection: up to 10 hours, getting ready through the party, with 48-hour sneak peeks.
Two Photographers — $7,500. Scott plus a second photographer for 8 hours — two getting-ready stories told at once, and more angles and reactions on the moments that only happen once.
What drives the price
Coverage. Hours are the first lever. A collection that runs from getting ready through the last dance is more shooting, and far more editing, than a shorter day — our collections cover up to 8 or 10 hours.
A second photographer. Two photographers is the single biggest step up in most price lists, because two stories can happen at once — both partners getting ready, the walk down the aisle and the reaction to it, candids of your guests while portraits happen elsewhere.
Photography and film together. Booking photo and film with one team is usually simpler — and often better value — than hiring two companies. One team works one timeline and one plan, so your photographer and videographer are never competing for the same shot.
The editing. A full wedding day typically produces hundreds of professionally edited photographs. Every image is edited — that post-production time is a real part of the price, and the reason finished galleries take care rather than days.
Experience at your kind of venue. Vineyard rows, waterfront light, and estate grounds each behave differently at golden hour. A photographer who knows your venue's light is worth more than one seeing it for the first time — we have filmed and photographed weddings at 19 Long Island venues.
What to ask before you book
Who actually photographs our day? With us, it is Scott — the person whose work you see in our photo portfolio — not a substitute sent by a studio.
How many photos, and how are they delivered? Expect hundreds of edited photographs in a private online gallery you can share with family and friends.
What exactly is included? Coverage hours, a second photographer if you want one, sneak peeks, and the gallery — itemized in our pricing guide before you sign anything.
How far ahead are you booked? For peak-season North Fork and Hamptons dates, couples commonly book 12 to 18 months ahead. We are now booking 2027 and 2028 weddings.
